Technical Business Development

The Role

Working on behalf of our client, a software development company that has a growing portfolio of out-of-the-box business applications able to deliver operational efficiency, business compliance, and customer engagement. Our client’s product enables its customers to manage simple or complex processes in business areas such as activity tracking, knowledge management, contact management, record management, or rostering and project management.

As a technical sales professional you will have a clear understanding of the sales process, be technically competent with relevant software sales or industry sector experience, and will have responsibility for:

  • Identifying new business prospects and exploring and qualifying potential sales opportunities
  • Promoting clients products and services to new and existing customers
  • Cold calling as appropriate to ensure a robust sales pipeline
  • Researching and building relationships with new clients
  • Ensuring timely follow up on leads and prospects
  • Preparing proposals outlining pricing, products and services
  • Undertaking and planning effective sales presentations
  • Attending networking events that are specific to individual clients
  • Ensuring effective written and verbal communication

The Candidate

First and foremost you will be a vibrant, dedicated, sales professional who is passionate about the sales process. Secondly, you will have lots of MoJo together with the following skills and qualities:

  • Good technical expertise ideally gained within an IT environment
  • Proven track record in new lead and revenue generation, within the business to business market sector
  • Demonstrable track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
  • Comfortable negotiating and liaising at a senior level
  • Ability to multi task and business develop on behalf of a range of clients
